Being a mother is an amazing experience BUT there are a few things they don't tell you. . .
1) Sleep Deprived - can make you an easily irritable person which leads to avoiding people since you tend to say things you don't mean.
2) Lack of Interest - the things that use to get you excited (new Glee episode for instance) no longer interest you as you'd rather shower, eat or take a nap while the baby is sleeping.
3) Body Aches - carrying a new baby is wonderful. Carrying a baby 24/7 can throw out your shoulder (twice), back pains, and give you carpal tunnel.
4) Pets? What Pets? - Sorry Dexter and Claire, you no longer exist. Good thing Brian pays attention to you otherwise you'd starve. So if you have pets, I hope they are prepared of being deprived attention.
5) Learning new Skills - You learn that you can do things a lot faster than you thought you could. For instance, I didn't know I can take two minute showers or eat an entire meal with one hand while carrying the baby.
6) Phone Calls - Trying to make a phone call while the baby is sleeping is difficult b/c for some reason she wakes up after 5 minutes. So catching up with friends is easier in person - at least they can hold the baby.
