Woohoo!! Ella finally had a dirty diaper this more (twice!). Yes, only a mom would be so eager to see poop.
We spent the whole day at work today (busy busy with tax preparation and 8a certification) but Ella did much better. She was able to take a couple naps, play, and visit with co-workers. Besides that, she enjoy her day with Leslie. The car ride home was a bit horrible as we were stuck in traffic. ;(
Mid-week already? Where has the time gone. . . Day 3 has passed and I'm still waiting for the explosion.
Morning @ DDGE: Ella spent the morning with me at work and got to play Shae, Birdie, Shae's grandma, and Laura. Lots of love and attention! For the most part she did good except she was screaming for a nap. She's just like me, super mad if she doesn't get enough sleep.

Afternoon Activities: Ella passed out on our drive home and continue to sleep the rest of the afternoon. She was way overdue for her nap and boy did she enjoy sleeping! When she woke up, she played on her mat and she eventually found her thumb. I heard her sucking her thumb all the way from the kitchen - yes it was that loud (watch the video - you can hear her).

Evening Activities: We had our Steele family dinner tonight since we won't be able to do it this weekend. Ella was in such a good mood since she got a nap/fed/changed! She even smiled and talked to her grandparents. By 8pm, she was ready to be changed/fed and sleep.

Ella spent most of today napping which allowed me to catch up on work. ;) In the afternoon, we did a few errands and got to visit Nora at the UCD Medical Center. About 80% of the people we walked by at UCD commented on how cool Ella's hair is or how cute she was! It was pretty awesome. The front desk person at the West Entrance even took a picture of her hair just to show her friends. When we stopped and checked in at the visiting desk on the 8th floor, the nurse called the staff in the back to see Ella. One by one, they came out and commented on Ella's hair. The main Dr. said she looked like she was riding a motorcycle. LOL. So Ella was a hit with the UCD staff.
Our next stop is Doug and Collette. It was so nice to see Brother Cole hold Ella and Ella enjoying it!If it wasn't for Ella, I would have chased down their two new kittens. They were so cute.

Despite our horrible decision to stay out past Ella's bedtime, Ella still slept through the night like a rockstar. Went to bed at 10:30pm and woke up at 6:30am - perfect timing for work. ;)
Morning at DDGE: Ella spent the morning with Shae, Abby and Birdie. They were so cute together - Ella loved all the attention from the girls. The girls took turns video taping Ella - it's pretty fun watching their clips.

Afternoon Activities: We did a few errands on our way home (dry cleaners, Wells Fargo, and Target) and Ella survived. After she was changed/fed, she took a long afternoon nap - loved it! Her nap time allowed me to get a few projects done. Toward the evening, I gave Ella a new toy to play with. She was fascinated by Mrs. Octopus and all of her colors!
Who enjoys a easy and restful weekend? We do! Besides catching up on house projects, we went to meeting and then were invited to the Garcia's for dinner. After the delicious dinner, we went home and gave Ella a bath and off to bed!

Ella is such a good sleeper. Even through the party, she still slept through the night. After the morning clean up (which Ella slept through most of it), we spent the afternoon relaxing and catching up on sleep. Ella spent the evening at Grandpa Steele's house while Brian and I went to have dinner and watch a movie.
Ella slept great last night (9:30am to 6:00am). After I fed her, I left her on our bed to sleep while I prep the car for the drive to work. As I went back into our bedroom to get Ella, I see Brian snuggled up next to her and felt so bad to take her away. ;( It was just too cute!

Hats & Shades Party: Ella slept through the whole party! It's a wonderful thing to know that she can't hear the music downstairs and sleeps through the noise anyways!
